Fast-growing fitness chain BFT has opened its first Hong Kong studio, and revealed plans for two sites to launch in Malaysia in early 2024.
The business, founded in 2017, has been on a run of international openings. There are 250 outlets open globally, 175 in Australia.
Dave Aitchison, the CEO of BFT APAC, told Franchise Executives there are strong expansion plans for BFT.
“With Xponential Fitness taking on the expansion in the US and Canada for BFT, our APAC team is focused on growth and consolidation in our existing markets – Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK.
“We’ve got exciting new market launches in early 2024 with our first studios in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) and Malaysia, plus some very promising conversations in Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan which we are confident in positive outcomes.”
Aitchison said BFT has sold four territories in Hong Kong which will open studios in 2024.
“We are forecasting at least six more sales in Hong Kong in the next 12 months. Singapore has been such as strong market for us, they have some of our highest-performing studios. We are confident Hong Kong can perform just as well as they are similar markets.”
Aitchison said growth remains consistent and strong for BFT in 2024.
