BK’s Gymnastics signs Queensland deal that is set to fast-track growth across the sunshine state. A Toowoomba gymnastics club, Allstars, has signed up as BK’s joint venture partner.
Allstars will now be 50 per cent owned by BK’s Gymnastics and Allstars owner Vicki Flamsteed has the role of Queensland joint venture CEO.
Flamsteed will be responsible for the strategy to grow the BK’s Gymnastics business across Queensland.
Mark Rendell, CEO, BK’s Gymnastics, said this expansion will take the brand a step closer to developing a national presence.
“Heading further north was the natural next step for BK’s Gymnastics and partnering with an established business who has an understanding of the local market will greatly assist this growth.”
Two sites have been earmarked for Richlands and Springfield, the former location a children’s ‘super leisure centre’ wit gymnastics classes and an indoor pool delivering swimming lessons.
The business launched its franchise model earlier this year with a 10-site target for 2021.
A new site in Caroline Springs, Melbourne, is set to open this month.
Flamsteed said “I’m very excited about what comes next and look forward to helping to grow gymnastics further throughout Queensland so that more children have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits the sport provides.
“It’s not surprising that gymnastics has moved into the top three sports in the country for kids,” she said.
“Many in the industry, including BK’s Gymnastics, have been working hard to make the sport more accessible and provide programs for younger kids and a progressive pathway through the sport as kids grow.”
A BK’s Gymnastics centre’s footprint ranges from 350m2 to 650m2.
