The Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo starts off a big four-days of franchising in Queensland’s capital city this weekend.
The expo will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October. Brands participating in the two-day, 10am to 5pm event range from home services to fast food.
Retail chains Dymocks, Bedshed, Sleepy’s and Clark Rubber will attend. Big name food franchises exhibiting include Pizza Hut and the Craveable Brands stable of Oporto, Chicken Treat and Red Rooster. Also Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue, Soul Origin, Gelatissimo and Mad Mex.
Queensland-based heritage companies like Shingle Inn, Gutter-Vac and Poolwerx will be showcasing their franchise offer to visiting potential franchisees.
The expo format includes the traditional two-day seminar program which franchisees can access for free.
FCA Franchising and Small Business Summit
On the Sunday, 16 October, the Franchise Council of Australia holds its Legal Symposium which will include the annual case update.

In the evening, the four days of franchising concludes when the FCA will hosts its annual national awards gala event celebrating excellence in franchising.
