Specialised Events, which runs the Franchising Expo, is launching a sister show to sit alongside the well-established event.
Exhibition manager Fiona Stacey said the start-up event will cater to entrepreneurs keen to launch and grow their own business. Specialised Events expects exhibitors to include retail and hospitality concepts, e-commerce, multi-level marketers, insurance, freelance and investment firms.
It is also targeting business services such as accountants, banks, advisors and brokers, coaches and trainers, lawyers, POS and technology providers.
The Start Your Own Business expo will run alongside the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne shows next year.
Stacey said the two shows will complement each other.
“The common factor is people who want to run their own business. I am sure many people who are thinking about a brand-new concept will also have a look at the franchising options while they are there.
“Running your own business is not just about the money. It is about taking control of your destiny, having more flexibility and building a legacy for you and your family. I really love this show. Helping someone turn their dreams into reality is a real privilege,” Stacey said.
The Franchising Expo and Start Your Own Business Expo will run together in Sydney from 24-25 May, Brisbane from 26-27 July and Melbourne from 30-31 August.
