Gelatissimo has appointed Nick Avgerinos as national leasing and franchise development manager to help deliver the chain’s ambitious growth plans.
Avgerinos was formerly general manager franchise development at The Cheesecake Shop, a role he held for almost 15 years. He has more than 20 years of experience in franchising, and development, negotation and commercial real estate. His career includes a five-year spell as a Fastway courier franchisee in the UK.
At Gelatissimo, Avgerinos will work closely with chief development officer Anthony Shina to accelerate the brand’s expansion. The business has a particular focus on Greater Perth and regional areas on the east coast.

Gelatissimo opened its 50th store in July this year, and has six more opening planned for 2024.
The gelato chain has 20 international stores and plans to grow its US footprint with three more stores this year.
