Guzman y Gomez has added to its US footprint, opening its fourth restaurant and the third location to open this year.
The new restaurant in Buffalo Grove, Illinois opened last week and served more than 4,300 $5 burritos and bowls.
It’s been a bumper year for the Mexican fast-food brand which hit a record revenue of $759 million. Guzman y Gomez opened 27 restaurants globally, and unveiled the 200th Australian location in Cairns, earlier this year.
The network added 17 new franchisees and now has more than 10,000 employees.
Last month GYG founder Steven Marks announced former Accent Group chief Brett Hilton would join him as co-CEO.
