Motto Motto’s first franchisees have invested in their second location a year after opening up their initial outlet.

Frank Jiang and Linda Zhang, franchisees at Carindale, have signed up to the Motto Motto Westfield Garden City restaurant.

COO Matt Fickling said “Our first franchisees have truly embraced our philosophy and we could not be prouder. Motto means more, and we have every confidence that Frank, Linda, and the team will continue to provide premium dining experiences for our Garden City guests.”

Garden City is the founding restaurant in the fledgling chain and has just undergone a refurbishment.

Jiang said the Carindale restaurant has continued to grow, despite the pandemic.

“We embraced the challenge and the results have been rewarding,” he said. “Further investing in the brand and purchasing Garden City were easy decisions for us to make. We are committed to bringing more service and more value to our guests across both restaurants. It gives us great pleasure to see customers enjoying their experience when they dine with us.”

Motto Motto is a chain of 10 made-to-order, premium-casual restaurants featuring a mix of traditional and modern Japanese or Japanese-inspired dishes

The chain has expanded from its Brisbane base through the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and down to Sydney with the opening of the Castle Towers restaurant in March 2021.

Expanding the business in the Victorian market and across the country is now the target, with Motto Motto keen to recruit more franchisees.
