Two Aussie retail chains, Cartridge World and Harvey Norman, have partnered with Optus to broaden the merchandise offering for the retailers.

At Cartridge World a focus on customer convenience means franchisees will get an added revenue stream with prepaid SIM cards, recharge cards and handsets available for purchase in its stores.

The range of products available includes prepaid voice and data SIM cards from $2 to $50, SIM starter packs, as well as recharge kits, and prepaid handsets from $49.

Cartridge World CEO Peter Mitropoulos said “We know how important value and convenience is to our customers, now more than ever before. Partnering with Optus will provide Cartridge World the opportunity to broaden our product offer to new and existing customers which, are not only cost effective, but demonstrate our commitment to delivering exceptional service.”

Optus vice president of retail and mass market sales, Michael Baxter, said “Optus is excited to be partnering with Cartridge World. They provide an increased footprint for Optus to market its best in class Prepaid Telco products. I feel that the Cartridge World consumer is closely aligned to ours and look forward to extending our products and services to them.”

The Optus and Harvey Norman agreement will see the introduction of one-stop-shops offering mobile and broadband solutions, and more complex technology products.

The first Optus Business Hub is at Harvey Norman’s flagship Auburn store in Sydney and will be followed by a series of sites to be rolled out across selected locations, including Toowoomba and Bundall on the Gold Coast.
