Domino’s Pizza Enterprises boss Andrew Gregory will assume direct responsibility for the Australia and New Zealand business after the exit of ANZ CEO Merrill Pereyra.
Pereyra took on the role in January 2026 after a three-decade career of QSR leadership, including turnaround roles at Domino’s Indonesia and at Pizza Hut India.
In a statement, Domino’s said Pereyra had established a foundation for an ANZ business reset – reducing costs, paying down debts, strengthening cash flow and improving franchisee returns.
Group CEO takes on role as Domino’s ANZ CEO exits
Gregory, the group CEO and MD at Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, and a former CEO at McDonald’s Australia, will head up the Australian business with the current leadership team in place.
Gregory said “We have made important progress through the reset and have a clear direction for Australia/New Zealand. I thank Merrill for delivering that groundwork. My focus will be to work directly with the leadership team and our franchisees to increase the pace of execution, build on that foundation and deliver sustainable profitability.”
Chair Jack Cowin said the reset remains on track.
“Australia/New Zealand is critical to the group’s success, and the Board supports Andrew taking direct responsibility to increase the pace of execution while maintaining a clear focus on sustainable, profitable growth for franchise partners.”
Domino’s will search for an experienced executive to replace Pereyra.
Gregory is the third leader for Domino’s Enterprises since the departure in 2024 of long-time boss Don Meij, who led the pizza business for 22 years. Gregory joined the business in August, stepping in to the vacant role left by Mark van Dyck, who resigned after seven months in the business and left in December 2025.
