Plus Fitness International (PFI) has signed a Singapore deal that will see the 24/7 gym extend its footprint further across Southeast Asia.

An Area Development Agreement (ADA) in Singapore will kickstart the expansion, with agreements in Malaysia and the Philippines expected shortly.

In a landmark achievement, PFI has also sold a five-location franchise deal in Singapore.

Viva Leisure owns the Plus Fitness business. Harry Konstantinou, CEO of Viva Leisure, said these developments are significant milestones.

“Executing the first Singapore agreement and securing multiple territory sales, together with agreeing to terms for further growth in Southeast Asia not only demonstrates the universal appeal of the Plus Fitness brand but also our strategic focus on profitable and sustainable growth,” Konstantinou said.

“We believe the Southeast Asian market is especially receptive to our model. By embracing a low-cost, low-risk franchise model augmented by our cutting edge technology, we are well-positioned to deliver outstanding value to our investors and unparalleled experiences to our members worldwide.

“The substantial opportunity in Southeast Asia complements the broader narrative of Viva Leisure’s global expansion strategy,” he said.

Singapore has low gym penetration rates and growing consumer interest in fitness and wellness, which makes it a potential-packed city for Plus Fitness. Viva Leisure projects at least 100 locations.

PFI will align with ADA partners to capture the growth potential across the wider Southeast Asian market.

Viva Leisure is actively seeking master franchisee and ADAs in new regions.
