Roll’d Vietnamese Grab-and-Go meals increased more than 950 per cent increase in sales since launching in January 2020. Now the fast food retailer plans to add the ready meals to a further 70 Coles outlets by November 2021 and drive further B2B sales while looking ahead into schools, local gyms, hospitals and other venues.

Right now the fast food chain’s takeaway ready meals are available in 61 Coles supermarkets, the meals prepared and packaged at local Roll’d Vietnamese stores and delivered daily.

The rising success of the range is one of the revenue safety nets Roll’d Vietnamese employed to support franchisees and strengthen their income through 2020 and 2021.

Roll’d Vietnamese CEO and founder Bao Hoang said “The Roll’d Grab-and-Go range was launched to strengthen our business partnerships, as well as drive revenue growth in more traditional convenience channels such as grocery. Another step towards bolstering our omnichannel strategy into the future.

“The success of the range has importantly given our franchise partners an additional revenue stream at a time when foot traffic is impacted. We want to help our franchisees while giving more Aussies access to healthy takeaway meal options. A win: win for all!”

In August Roll’d launched pantry items and condiments as take-home purchases, available from the fast food outlets and Coles supermarkets.

The opening of the first Coles concession business model in early 2020 also marked a major milestone for Roll’d, its 100th outlet.

As the business continues to power ahead with innovations, it also has ambitions to expand into international markets including the US, New Zealand, Ireland, Japan and the UK.
