UBX is expanding into the United Arab Emirates and will open 18 locations across the country.
The new deal with master franchisor Mohsan Bari marks the brand’s eighth global entry.
Bari said “I am honoured to lead UBX’s expansion into the UAE. The region’s vibrant fitness community and the increasing popularity of combat sports make this the perfect time for UBX to enter the market.”
UBX UAE is sourcing initial sites in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Tim West, UBX co-founder and managing director, said, “In recent years, the Middle East has become a hotspot for combat sports, and the UAE’s enthusiasm for boxing makes it the perfect next step for UBX as interest in the sport is followed by participation.
“We’re bringing our unique combination of boxing and strength training to a market that truly values fitness and innovation. I have no doubt that UBX will become a staple in the UAE fitness scene.”
Expansion into UAE follows UBX’s launches into Japan, the US, the UK and Ireland over
the past year. It is already established in New Zealand and Singapore.
The business now has more than 100 locations worldwide, and more than 600 contracted gyms across eight countries.
