Accor has signed a deal with a Fijian-owned investment and development group, Yavu Collective, which will see three distinctive hotels join Accor’s global network.
Accor and Yavu Collective first collaborated on the opening of Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa in 2005.
The brand’s second hotel, Sofitel Fiji Vatu Talei, a design-led 10-acre resort with 176 rooms, will open in early 2027 on Denarau Island.
David Fraser, the vice president of operations for Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, said “The Pacific is a strategic market for Sofitel, representing almost 50 per cent of our most loyal guests globally. Our commitment here is strong, underscored by renovations at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, planned refurbishments for Sofitel Queenstown and Sofitel Broadbeach, and the continued evolution in Fiji with Sofitel Vatu Talei.”
Two debuts will see the Sebel Nuku Loaloa Living open extended-stay accommodation in Fiji in August, and then Tribe Na Tomba will open on Denaru Island late this year.
Adrian Williams, COO for Accor in the Pacific, said “Bringing these brands into one destination through a single, trusted partner reflects both the strength of our relationship and our shared vision for Fiji’s future as a globally recognised, experience-led tourism destination.”
