Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg’s famed burger chain Wahlburgers will open its first Australian store in Circular Quay, Sydney before Christmas 2021.
The restaurant will be located at 7 Macquarie Street, Opera Quays, will be able to seat 250 guests, and is expected to employ 65 workers.
Wahlberg said the they had “chosen one of the most iconic venues in the world”, and that the restaurant will have views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
“We’re so thrilled to be working with Mark, Donnie and Chef Paul Wahlberg on opening the first of 20 Wahlburgers across Australia and New Zealand,” said Sam Mustaca, CEO of Wahlburgers Australia.
“In my opinion, this really is the best Wahlburgers location on the planet.”
Wahlberg told The Daily Telegraph earlier this year, “what we are really focusing on now is creating exclusive content just for the customers. So people will see movie trailers early and all that stuff.”
The site will be open for breakfast to late, and will include merchandise and souvenirs, as well as a premium bar, coffee and espresso bar, and a menu that includes Australian classics.
