Battery World has signed up as a major sponsor of the 2021 Stadium Super Trucks series.

The race events take place across five states, supporting the Supercars championship.

Motorsport promoter and head of Stadium Super Trucks Australia Nathan Cayzer has welcomed Battery World to the sponsorship line-up in 2021.

“It’s fantastic to have Battery World, a brand that is so well known around Australia, work in partnership with Stadium Super Trucks after the Covid-enforced lockdown last year cut the season short.

“The series has a great selection of drivers and the teams are very passionate about what they do,” Cayzer said. “We started the season in Darwin on June 19 where we saw the Battery World ramp in action for the first time.”

Yuasa Batteries has once again been named the Official Battery of SST Australia and as the exclusive retailer of the Yuasa battery range, Battery World’s partnership will turbo charge the event for drivers and motorsport enthusiasts.

Battery World general manager Johnny Kennedy said it made commercial sense for Australia’s largest battery retailer to support SST.

“These events are supercharged with excitement and by adding Battery World as ramp sponsor we’ll help send the profile of SST even higher.

“As Australia’s leading battery retailer, we’re committed to powering the passion of every Aussie with a wide range of quality products and initiatives. We’re excited to be the exclusive stockists of Yuasa batteries which will be powering the trucks in the series,” he said.

Kennedy said the brand has a natural link with motorsports.

“Many of our customers are motorsport fans and this is just another way for us to showcase this in what we do.

“It’s been an enormously successful year so far for Battery World, our 110 stores are extremely excited to see what this partnership will deliver to the business in the second half of 2021,” Kennedy said.

Stadium Super Trucks was originally an off-road sport that began in the US in 2012. It has since transitioned to a bitumen surface for increased speed and ramps which brings the theatrics of airborne trucks to the events.
