Megasealed has appointed a new CEO, Sean Johns, to oversee the strategic planning and growth of the national franchise network.
Johns took up the new position in August and will work closely with Megasealed founder Jacques Courtin to manage the CEO transition.
Courtin, who celebrated 25 years in business in 2021, will continue with the firm in an advisory role.
“As we continue to focus on achieving Megasealed’s business and franchise growth goals, I’m delighted to appoint someone of Sean’s calibre as CEO to lead Megasealed through the next phase of growth,” Courtin said.
“I have led Megasealed through 27 years of growth and success. I have no doubt Sean will continue to lead the way for the national ever-expanding franchise network with confidence.”
Megasealed new CEO has franchise experience
Johns’ experience includes overseeing 370 franchises with a combined turnover exceeding $750 million.
He held management positions with not-for-profit The Fathering Project, and was a founding partner of the Resurg Group.
Johns said “We acknowledge Jacques’ enormous contribution to Megasealed’s growth and development as a national franchise. I am thrilled to take on leading the incredible Megasealed network, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead.”
Johns said innovation and dedication are at the heart of the business.
“I am committed to continue his legacy and work closely with our network to bring stability, growth, and a renewed sense of purpose to the business,” he said.
Megasealed began in 1988 when Courtin developed a cost-effective, time-efficient and guaranteed solution for the repair of leaking showers and balconies.
Megasealed awarded him for his quarter of a century of achievements last year at the network’s annual conference.
The first franchise opened in 2014. Today there are 34 franchises, servicing most Australian states and territories and completing more than 25,000 jobs per annum.
