Blooms The Chemist has appointed a chief operating officer, promoting its chief marketing officer to the newly created role.
Pamela Bishop, who has been with the pharmacy chain for more than 16 years, will oversee end-to-end operations with merchandise, retail operations, pharmacy operations, and people and culture her direct reports.
Bishop will report directly to Blooms The Chemist’s CEO Emmanuel Vavoulas.
Vavoulas said “With more than 110 pharmacies nationally and growing, Pamela’s experience in leading change management, improving business performance, driving positive impact and delivering stakeholder value will all be key attributes in her COO role.”
Bishop said she is looking forward to sharing her broad experience and knowledge of the brand in the new position.
“Together with my team, we will drive profitability, execute the company strategy, develop more purpose-led business activities, and prioritise initiatives that will create the greatest customer impact,” she said.
