The Brisbane franchising expo has been postponed once again, with the long-awaited event now shifting from its March date to October.

Previously scheduled for an October date last year, after being moved from its original winter slot, the Brisbane expo was moved to what looked like a safe bet date in March 2022.

However the ongoing impact of Covid has once again pushed back the date for the Queensland show.

Fiona Stacey, exhibition manager, said “Whilst we have a full hall of exhibitors and special events ready to run, the economic and health challenges in Queensland are impacting visitor confidence. We feel that moving the Brisbane show to later in the year will ensure it can run at full strength with a big crowd. “

The new dates for the Brisbane Franchising & Business Opportunities show are Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October, 2022.

Over the last two years only two Franchising & Business Opportunities expos have been able to go ahead as planned, both in Sydney.

The continued uncertainty has meant prospective franchise buyers in Queensland and Victoria have missed out on the chance to visit the shows, with the last event in both states held mid 2019.

Stacey confirmed the Melbourne expo will still run from 1-2 April at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in conjunction with the FCA  Convention (NFC) as originally planned.

This year the Sydney Expo will be running from 5-6 August and Perth on 13 November.

“We are confident these events will be able to proceed at full strength and be enormously popular,” said Stacey.
