Gong cha Australia has taken out the brand’s Global Master Franchisee of the Year award, blue-ribbon recognition for the outstanding master franchisee in the system.

The local business was one of 23 markets eligible for the award this year. The judging criteria includes regional brand growth, overall store operations including audit scores and guest satisfaction, excellence in marketing programs and same store sales growth performance.

Lili Shi, master franchisee of Gong cha Australia said “Gong cha Australia is so honoured to win Franchisee of the Year. It is more than a title, it’s the recognition of the hard work, dedication, and success of the entire Australian Gong cha network,” she said.

“This award validates the strategies and efforts we have put into the business. We are motivated to maintain the high standards and continuously improve and aim to defend the title next year.”

Ben Flintoff, director of operations, APAC for Gong cha Global told Franchise Executives, “Lili and her team have set a high watermark for other markets to aspire. The drive to succeed is founded in true love for this brand and our products. It is a powerful position from which to launch. Sincere congratulations Lili on the success of 2023.”
