The IGA is to anchor the new north-western Sydney development, The Langston in Epping, with a flagship supermarket.

The new small format store will sit in a 523 sqm retail space.

Mint Fresh IGA multi-unit owners Richard and Antoine Rizk will manage the business. The pair also run IGA stores at Baulkham Hills, Westleigh and Toongabbie.

Fitout will take place in the coming months, with an official opening set for late 2022.

Richard Rizk said “Sourcing quality affordable produce is a passion of ours, and we get a lot of satisfaction out
of providing our customers with the freshest and best fruit and vegetables, every day.

“We really want to showcase this philosophy through our Mint Fresh IGA Local Grocer store at The Langston, and will be engaging our local customers to ensure we offer everything they need.”

Cbus Property development

Property investor and developer, Cbus Property, recently completed construction of the new development.

Cbus Property’s CEO, Adrian Pozzo, said “In our meetings with Mint Fresh IGA, they far and away proved themselves to be exceptional operators who can meet this brief, and we are looking forward to welcoming
the team to The Langston in the coming months.”

The Langston’s 2,100 sqm mixed-use retail precinct will also feature cafés, restaurants, and health and lifestyle businesses.

The Langston’s retail precinct sits under three residential apartment towers of 462 homes, with access onto a landscaped public plaza.

  • Earlier this year, two Brisbane-based brothers raised the stakes with their IGA business. The pair significantly boosted their business as part of a major expansion of the riverfront retail destination Portside Wharf.
