Jump! Swim Schools is to open at least six sites in Western Sydney this year, almost doubling the brand’s footprint in the region.

The swim school franchise, owned by the Belgravia Group, has seven sites operating, and has already earmarked locations in Glenmore Park, Caddens Corner, Leppington and Windsor.

Western Sydney University predicts a population rise to three million by 2036, accounting for two thirds of the population growth in the Sydney region. Sixty per cent of new immigrants to Australia settle in Greater Western Sydney.

Jump! Swim Schools CEO Mark Collins said there is a growing need in the area for private swimming schools.

Jump! Swim taps into Sydney growth

“In new growth corridors like Western Sydney, it takes time for councils to build large aquatic
centres. We can have pools successfully built and operational very quickly ensuring franchisees hit
the ground running with their business and parents can access life-saving swim skills for their kids
without a wait time.

“We’re seeing swim schools open in Western Sydney and other growth corridors and they are at
capacity before their doors even open – the demand is that strong,” he said.

The demand is not just for kids’ lessons. The swim schools in the area are also developing a fresh stream of revenue for a new client base.

“Many of our sites are also now running adult swim lessons for adults who many not have had the opportunity to learn to swim as a child,” said Collins.

Jump! Swim Schools is part of the Belgravia Group’s health and leisure division, which includes Genesis Health + Fitness, Coaching Zone personal training, BK’s Gymnastics and Ninja Parc.

Belgravia Health & Leisure introduced development options that have included multi-brand sites. This has seen Jump! Swim Schools combining with BK’s Gymnastics or the Genesis gym model, for example.
