KX Pilates is to launch in Japan, under a master franchise agreement.
Master franchisee Atsuyuki Tsuchiya is the former president of Fast Fitness Japan and a key figure in the country’s fitness sector.
Tsuchiya said “We are thrilled to partner with KX Pilates Australia to introduce this dynamic workout to Japan. We believe the KX concept, workouts, and the lifestyle that accompanies it are exactly what modern Japanese people need.”
Tsuchiya plans to open locations in Tokyo and Osaka.
The KX Pilates business has a footprint of more than 126 studios across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, China, Taiwan and Singapore. In the US the Pilates brand delivers classes through an online platform.
The KX business was launched in 2010, based on the principle of small, ongoing improvements embodied in the Japanese theory of Kaizen.
KX Pilates studios provide proprietary KXFormers Reformer machines offering client-centered workouts in a screen-free environment.
