Former CouriersPlease CEO Richard Thame is to head up Fortidia’s Kwik Kopy and Pack & Send business as country manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Thame will take over in June from interim country manager Riccardo Cepparulo who stepped in after Sonia Shwabsky left the business late March 2026.
Thame has more than 20 years’ leadership experience. Before leading CouriersPlease for three years he spent two years as CEO at Snap (with Shwabsky as chief growth officer) and almost 11 years as managing director at Fastway Couriers – now Aramex.
He has also held roles at McDonalds, Greater Union Cinemas, Brambles, and Thrifty Car Rental.
Thame told Franchise Executives “I am delighted to join leading global franchisor Fortidia from June as country manager Australia and New Zealand, where I will lead an ambitious growth agenda across the region, working in close partnership with our talented team and franchise network to unlock new opportunities, strengthen the Kwik Kopy and Pack & Send brands, and continue delivering exceptional value to customers.”
Thame is chair of the Franchise Council of Australia, and the state president of the NSW/ACT chapter.
