Sandwich chain Subway launched its new in-app delivery service on 15 September.

Subway ANZ director of marketing, Rodica Titeica, said the latest initiative boosts the brand’s convenience offer.

“We recognise how important convenience and ease of accessibility is in the increasingly busy lives of our customers,” she said.

To celebrate the Subway Delivers service, the chain gave away 1000 Footlongs across Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.

Subway is also promoting the new initiative with free delivery on the app orders from 18 September until 1 October.

The Subway Delivers service is available at participating restaurants across Australia. In New Zealand participating stores in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington will offer the delivery service.

An audience measurement tool revealed earlier this year that 13.5 million people in February ordered food through a delivery app or website
