The Coffee Club has stepped up to turn one couple’s wedding vow into reality. When the cafe chain’s founder John Lazarou saw a TikTok of Brisbane couple, Rex Tand Jess Ablett, including The Coffee Club in their wedding vows, the brand immediately launched into action.

Rex had vowed to take Jessica to “every Coffee Club restaurant in Brisbane‘ – and if they live long enough – every Coffee Club venue in Australia”.

Ensuring these vows become reality is now The Coffee Club’s mission and the chain has organised a string of dates at various restaurants, including a two-year wedding anniversary dinner at the Eagle Street Pier with a fireworks display.

The Coffee Club founder John Lazarou, pictured above with the couple, said: “I was just bowled over to think that someone is going to include The Coffee Club in their vows, I saw the humorous side, but then it really touched my heart that this brand, these products, the whole experience, truly means something to this couple.”

“I love the fact social media allows us to find out who is celebrating, and in which store, so that we’re able to foster authentic experiences that are bespoke for customers engaging with us.”

The Coffee Club gifted the couple with vouchers worth $500 to help them fulfil the dream of visiting every outlet in Australia.

The couple, who have been together for seven years and now have a baby girl, said the experience has been incredible.

“I just don’t think anything could ever live up to that anniversary dinner from The Coffee Club,” Jess Ablett exclaimed.

“The fireworks. Wow. It was funny because I saw the lights turn off, and I thought we might get a cake with sparklers, which we ended up getting, but actually our own fireworks, I was blown away, I just couldn’t believe it,” she said.
