Specialist training provider William Angliss Institute has announced a two-year renewal of its partnership with hospitality entrepreneurs and co-working space, Worksmith.

Both organisations are dedicated to advancing all aspects of the hospitality industry and share commitments to providing practical industry-based training and opportunities for all students across the hospitality and food industries.

The ongoing partnership presents opportunities for both organisations to collaborate in areas of education, food, beverage and hospitality to support the new generations of industry professionals.

William Angliss Institute specialises in training across the experience industries, while Worksmith is a co-working space for hospitality individuals, brands and businesses that provides professional support and networking opportunities for members.

Across the partnership, William Angliss Institute and Worksmith will work together to launch a series of mentoring sessions, events and industry collaborations for both higher education and vocational students, including:

• industry guest speakers to support course learning
• a series of curated online masterclasses delivered in partnership with Worksmith
• students and staff will have access to all Worksmith events
• hospitality industry experts will support on-campus student and industry events

There is an upcoming masterclass on post-pandemic consumer trends that will be based on research conducted by Worksmith, with details to be released soon.

William Angliss Institute associate director student recruitment and services, Sarah Lawrie, has welcomed the renewal of the partnership with Worksmith and the opportunities it brings for students.

“The commitment between the two companies will continue providing unique opportunities for our students to invest back into the hospitality industry and gain learnings from industry professionals that is invaluable to their training,” Lawrie said.

Rob Weston, GM at Worksmith, said “we aim to align ourselves with those who make genuine positive contributions towards Australia’s hospitality industry and we are delighted to be continuing to work with one of Australia’s leading hospitality training providers over the coming years.”
