Chemist Warehouse has hit a mega milestone, officially opening its 500th store.
The pharmacy retailer commemorated the landmark new store, at Croydon Central, Victoria, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Co-founders Mario Verrocchi and Jack Gance cut the ribbon in-store to officially kick off trade.
Chemist Warehouse hosted a family-friendly day of activity for local Croydon shoppers to celebrate the store opening.
Verrocchi said “Chemist Warehouse is committed to providing our customers around the country with easily accessible and affordable health, wellness and beauty solutions, at all times. We are thrilled to introduce our offering to Croydon Central and are extremely proud to be celebrating our 500th store opening, a huge achievement for our business.”
Already this year the pharmacy chain has launched an Optometrist Warehouse in Malvern, Victoria, and a digital health scanner for customers to use on mobile devices.
The business was founded in 1973 and today operates in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
