Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has expanded its franchise support team with a new role and appointment. Caillin Flint joins the group as senior manager, brand and franchise support.

Flint has more than 30 years of hospitality and hotel experience, most recently leading hotel operations for The Hotel & Wellness Co. He has held roles with Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, including the director of operations Asia Pacific – special projects and development.

Anthony Stanley, Choice Hotels’ director of franchise performance said “We are confident that Caillin will make a significant contribution to the seamless delivery of support for our network of franchisees.”

Stanley said the new role adds a layer of senior support within the franchise performance unit.

In his new role Flint will oversee all aspects of franchisee support, from managing the deployment of new brand initiatives and onboarding new properties through to brand compliance.

“Having someone of Caillin’s calibre in this role will bring in new efficiencies and ideas across the board and provide an additional avenue of oversight to benefit both our team and franchisees,” Stanley said.

“We are always looking at how we can optimise the support we offer to franchisees, work closely to understand their needs to grow their business and tailor our support to complement their aspirations.”

Stanley said growth for the business will come from expanding the network with new hotels and helping franchisees build their businesses and expand their offerings.

“We’re well-equipped to unlock new opportunities. This is demonstrated by our significant growth in the region, adding 28 new hotels and 2,474 rooms in the first half of the year, most notably in Japan, where we have welcomed 22 new hotels,” Stanley said.

Earlier this year the business boosted its investment and development team with two executive appointments.
