Club Pilates, owned by US franchisor Xponential Fitness, launched its first two UK studios in January, the first step in its plan to open up to 75 clubs in Britain over the next five years.
BDaily News reported this expansion is expected to bring 900 new jobs across key cities such as London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast.
The inaugural studio was set to open at London’s Bankside mid-January, followed by a flagship site at Fulham Broadway.
The master franchisee for Club Pilates UK is Richard Uku, who founded and heads up Deblankson Fitness Group. Uku has already opened multiple Club Pilates studios across New York and New Jersey, according to BDaily News.
With the UK launch, Xponential Fitness aims to replicate the Pilates’ brand’s global success. The franchisor grew the Club Pilates footprint by 600 per cent in its first two years of ownership.
There are now 1533 franchises globally, across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, the Dominican Republic and Germany. More than 935 studios are currently operating.
Xponential Fitness has a portfolio of 10 boutique brands including BFT, CycleBar, Rumble and StretchLab.
