Aussie brand Strong Pilates is well on the way to achieving a 100-studio target in the US. Since launching its first site in Stone Oak, San Antonio Strong Pilates has 77 locations confirmed across the country.
The locations include multi-site franchise agreements in Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
In addition, some single-site franchise agreements across Houston and Long Island are in place.
The ambitious growth plan for Strong Pilates is a rapid ramp-up from the eight US studios in the pipeline in May this year.

The business plans to open up to 30 corporate-owned studios across Florida and Texas. The first corporate-owned studio is in Hermosa Beach, California.
Strong Pilates co-founders Mark Armstrong and Michael Ramsey believe the US growth fits market needs.
“There is increased demand in the United States for a boutique, multi-modality offering such as Strong Pilates.
“Our expansion plans are indicative of a unique offering entering the US market which has already seen incredible growth across nine countries. With over 100 studios confirmed in our first year of entry, this is the start of an expansive roll-out of an unparalleled fitness format,” the pair said.
The Stone Oak location in September, and is the brand’s 70th studio worldwide. The studio has already attracted high-profile attention. NBA player for San Antonio Spurs, Zach Collins, an early adopter of the Strong Pilates workout.
The multi-discipline offer combines cardio training with Reformer Pilates using exclusive equipment. The Rowformer and Bikeformer machines are a reformer bed with a rower or bike on the end.
Strong Pilates is now operating in nine countries including the US, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Singapore, Canada, Philippines and Indonesia. It has upcoming studios in, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Dubai and Bahrain.
