Kwik Kopy is planning 40 more centres to boost its current 90-store footprint and is aiming for a 7 per cent revenue rise for same-store-sales this year, with a 10 per cent stretch target.

As the business works to its 130-store goal, it has identified 11 regional and 32 suburban prime locations for possible expansion.

CEO Sonia Shwabsky revealed Kwik Kopy’s targets at a suppliers’ lunch to highlight the brand’s progress.

Kwik Kopy expansion plan backed by strong sales

Total revenue rose in the last financial year by 2.8 per cent on 2019, following a decade-long decline, and sales revenue hit $76-$77million.

Wide-format printing, ideal for core-flutes or pull-up banners, has proved to be the success story across the stores, rocketing a massive 46 per cent. Other key services include marketing collateral, signs, displays, labels and tote bags.

Kwik Kopy is developing a new e-commerce solution for added customer convenience, scheduled for launch next year. The new channel will enhance customer and franchisee relationships as it boosts the services available.

The print business has a brand new website in the pipeline, which it will unveil before releasing the e-commerce channel.

Kwik Kopy cadet program

It is also launching a three-year Kwik Kopy Cadet program, mapping learning to a Certificate IV qualification.

Peter Fiasco, head of franchising, told Franchise Executives “This is being developed in consultation with franchise owners and will be launched at our franchise conference in April 2024.

“We have identified a real opportunity for the business, helping franchisees develop their people, and for them to see a career pathway.

“We wanted to build out a program that provides long term training so internal franchisee applicants have all the business skills they need,” he said.
