Domino’s Pizza Enterprises has appointed a group chief technology officer (CTO), following a global search.
Matthias Hansen has been appointed to the role of and brings more than 30 years’ global experience.
Hansen has been working for a private equity-based security solutions company in Switzerland, leading a team of 600 staff across Europe.
He has held a number of technology and digital leadership roles with Telstra, Centrica Plc, T-Mobile, Dell Corporation and Renault Financial Services.

Hansen will join the global leadership team and will focus on Domino’s digitalisation as a key element of its aggressive growth and innovation strategy across the company’s nine markets.
Group CEO and managing director Don Meij said “We are extremely excited to have someone of Matthias’s calibre join Domino’s.
“The appointment of a leader with Matthias’ experience and capability demonstrates the importance of technology to the future of this business.”
Hansen begins in the role today, initially working with the Domino’s team in Europe before relocating with his family to Australia at the end of the year.
With this latest appointment, Domino’s is changing Michael Gillespie’s title from group chief digital and technology officer to group chief digital and experience officer (CDXO), to reflect the focus and commitment on the customer experience. Gillespie’s remit will otherwise remain unchanged.
