The Malaysian-born fusion fitness concept Fire Fit plans four more Aussie studios this year, with Fitness Business Sales driving the expansion.

Damien Bain, founder and managing director of Fitness Business Sales told Inside Franchise Business Executive, six outlets have already been sold in Sydney and Queensland, and the goal for 2022 is to have 10 studios.

Asian health club operator Evolution Wellness owns the Fire Fit business. Also in its portfolio are Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First and proprietary membership management system, Circuit.

Fire Fit is operational in Malaysia (where it began in 2015), the US, UAE and Australia.

Bain said at the time of the appointment of Fitness Business Sales (FBS), “The success Fire has already gained in Southeast Asia, as well as its popularity via virtual classes, among participants from all over the globe – including Australia – is a surefire indicator of the positive response we’re anticipating, to the local launch of this boutique fitness brand.”

The Fire Fit concept is to deliver a variety of unique classes both online and in studio. About 80 per cent of the signature classes are fusion, for instance blending treadmill running, weight training, and bodyweight movements or high intensity bike sprints, followed by a power yoga segment.

“As a franchisee you can have up to six disciplines under one roof,” Bain said. “For a business owner, if for some reason the discipline/s you have do drop out of fashion, you can change your studio.”

Membership is a single fee that covers all programs.

Bain, who brings a wealth of fitness experience including roles at Infinite Cycle, Genesis Fitness, Fitness First and 20Perfit, established FBS in November 2020.
