Asia tea brand Heytea has unveiled its first franchised Sydney store as part of an Australian expansion plan. The first of 11 stores confirmed for Australia, the new outlet is on George Street, Sydney.
Three more of the 11 stores will open this year across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Heytea is a 12-year-old business founded in China. Founder Neo Nie created an alternative to the powedered milk teas on the market, using cheese foam made with real milk.
The new Sydney store will offer Heytea’s signature drinks, including cheese tea, premium tea with creamy cheese foam, refreshing fruit teas made from natural ingredients, and an oat milk vegan option.
Yujia, vice president, overseas strategy and franchise is excited to bring the brand to Sydney. “Our expansion into Australia is a testament to our commitment to bringing unique modern tea experiences to new markets,” Yujia said.
Today Heytea has more than 4,000 stores worldwide, with a presence in more than 300 cities. The brand has recently introduced a pop-up store in Paris for the summer season.
Recent global openings include the stores in the UK, the first store in Manchester and the sixth store for London.
Heytea, which has a vision to ‘drive quality, spark joy’ has collaborated with brands including Fendi, Barbie, Adidas and Oreo.
