Muffin Break has raised $20,000 for its national charity Share the Dignity, with a promotional initiative in August.
The Foodco business committed to raise $1 for every Share the Dignity Muffin sold and 20 cents from every Cool Ridge Water purchased last month.
Share the Dignity works to make a difference for women experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence or dealing with period poverty. The charity collects tens of thousands of donated period and incontinence products every year and these are distributed through #PinkBox vending machines.
The vending machines are installed all in public toilets, homeless hubs, domestic violence refuges, community centres and schools, and provide free access to a period pack to include two pads and six tampons to vulnerable women.
The funds raised by Muffin Break will go to supporting women around the country, through the franchise’s third installation of a Share the Dignity#PinkBox.
Muffin Break GM Natalie Brennan said “We are so thankful for each and every one of our customers for their support of this incredible cause and for Rochelle and the team at Share the Dignity for the work they do. We can’t wait to see our third PinkBox be installed into a local Australian community.”
Rochelle Courtenay, founder of Share the Dignity is delighted with the result.
“I am thrilled that our partner Muffin Break have chosen to fund a new machine with the proceeds from their delicious muffin fundraiser. The new vending machine that they are sponsoring will provide support to a woman or girl who cannot afford period products and importantly allow her to manage her period with the dignity every woman deserves.”
Since 2018, Muffin Break has raised more than $45,000.00 to support the charity and assist with installing #PinkBox Dignity vending machines.
