The Lebanese pizza chain Ooshman is using international Manouche Day as a way to promote and celebrate its signature dish.
On 2 November, Ooshman, formerly known Manoosh Pizzeria, is tempting customers with a free giveaway at its 19 locations across Sydney and the ACT.
Customers can order online or through the app to claim their free manouche between 12 and 1pm on 2 November.
Manouche is flatbread covered with za’atar and served as a popular Lebanese breakfast dish. Last year UNESCO added manouche to its ‘integral cultural heritage’ list.
CharlieHoyek, founder and director at Ooshman, said “We’re excited to share our love for authentic Lebanese eats with everyone on this special day. It’s our way of saying thanks for sticking with us through our big rebrand.
“Ooshman began as a traditional Lebanese bakery, with recipes passed down through generations,” said Hoyek. “Taking those cherished family recipes and expanding the business to 19 stores has been a journey of honouring our heritage while embracing modern tastes.”
Hoyek has plans to open 30 new stores over the next five years.
