Sandwich chain Subway has partnered with not-for-profit and loneliness pioneer Friends For Good, in time for the festive season.

The aim is to raise awareness of the high levels of loneliness, experienced by nearly 3 million Australians. An increasing number will spend the festive milestones alone.

Subway’s ‘Cookiemas’ campaign encourages Aussies to donate to the charity through the Christmas
landing page.

Loneliness is the theme of the festive ad campaign this year which features Santa taking a gift of cookies to surprise the lonely Easter Bunny.

Through the landing page, consumers can also interact with the characters and fairy-tale scene . In Melbourne, consumers can see the characters and cookies on a larger scale on a 3D billboard on Bourke St.

The sandwich chain also has a line-up of deals and activities featuring the Subway cookie. Customers visiting Santaland in participating Myer stores can have a photo snapped with Santa and collect a Subway Christmas colouring in book along and a cookie voucher.

Subway’s 12 Deals of Christmas returns for a third year in a row offering deals on the Subway app and Subcard loyalty program. These include get one free deals, triple Subcard rewards and more.
