The Cheesecake Shop has appointed an experienced digital and technology specialist, Brad Dight, to the newly created role of chief information officer (CIO). 

Dight brings 20 years of experience with high-profile brands including Virgin, Craveable Brands, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited and Tatts Group.

Joining The Cheesecake Shop reunites Dight with former Domino’s executives Rebecca Barnes, now chief marketing officer at The Cheesecake Shop, and the cake chain’s CEO Scott Bush.

Dight will report directly to Bush who has led the brand since late 2022.

Bush said “Brad’s appointment really demonstrates our commitment to this area of the business as we embark on a significant digital transformation for The Cheesecake team.”

Dight has a track record of creating and leading high performing teams in large global companies with high-tech complex digital platforms and services, delivering strategy and overseeing cybersecurity, governance, compliance, applications, infrastructure, and operations.

He will work with franchisees and the leadership team on enhancing the customer experience across retail and digital to meet the customer’s ever-changing needs around accessibility and convenience. 

The Cheesecake Shop celebrated its 200th store opening in Australia in July this year.
