The US Wendy’s business has appointed an interim CEO, Ken Cook, the company’s CFO, who takes over from departing Kirk Tanner, president and CEO.
Tanner is leaving on 18 July to head up The Hershey Company. He joined Wendy’s in February 2024 after three decades with Pepsico.
While the board searches for a permanent replacement Cook, who played a major role in developing Wendy’s long-term growth strategy, takes the helm.
The Wendy’s brand in Australia is operated by the franchisee Flynn Group, which also manages Pizza Hut Australia.
In March Wendy’s opened its 500th store in the APMEA region.
