Barbeques Galore has launched a new B2B storefront to expand into fresh markets and grow the business.

The retailer has a footprint of 90 locations around Australia, and operates an established wholesale and export business with 200 independent distributors in Australia and worldwide customers.

Angus McDonald, CEO at Barbeques Galore, said “We’ve always strived to be the ultimate destination for all things barbeques and outdoor living.  However, development of wholesale opportunities to extend our leading portfolio of brands into other markets has required a significant step up in our B2B capabilities.

“Since launching our B2B portal powered by Big Commerce, we’ve been able to quickly grow the number of B2B customers and order volumes to really accelerate this area of our business,” he said.

The new platform’s multi-storefront capability allows the retailer to create custom shopfront experiences across its brand. Sites can display a localised look and feel targeting various customer segments, regions, and currencies from a single backend.

Barbeques Galore has expanded into New Zealand and currently operates a number of sites on the new platform.

The buyer portal brings online and offline interactions together into a centralised invoice portal. Invoice distribution and payments can easily reconcile with existing ERP systems, giving buyers full control of their online purchasing experience.

Buyers can self-manage orders, quoting and workflows to reduce operational burdens that streamline the buyer transaction journey, further encouraging conversions, brand loyalty and repeat business.
