Banjo’s Bakery Café has officially re-launched its order, pay and rewards mobile app to provide a seamless user experience, in response to customer feedback.
The first-to-market bakery ordering app was unveiled in November 2020 as part of the strategy to modernise Banjo’s customer experience and increase contactless purchase and pay options in response to the ongoing impacts of Covid-19.
Jessica Saxby, Banjo’s Bakery Café CEO and MD, said the updated application would continue to impress customers and simplify their ordering process.
“Taking on customer feedback since the initial app roll-out has been hugely helpful in building a user experience tailored to everyone from our regulars to a first-time customer,” she said.
The user interface has been completely redesigned with a simplified and cleaner aesthetic and the bakery chain’s revised app aims to offer a seamless user experience from order to check out.
The application is free to download and includes features such as skip the queue ordering, a VIP points system, order favourites saved, pay-in-advance, and 50 per cent off first app order.
To raise awareness around the app re-launch, Banjo’s is rolling out a national marketing campaign across social media, out of home and print, which has already seen a recent uptake of 39 per cent in app downloads.
To date the app, available on IOS and Android, has received 35,000 downloads, with tech-savvy young adults between the ages of 25-44 most likely to use the digital ordering service.
Brisbane residents have proved to be the most enthusiastic users so far.
The heritage Banjo’s Bakery Cafe network has 44 franchise stores across Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.
