Specsavers Australia and New Zealand has announced new appointments as it expands its leadership team.

Yelda Rahimi joins Specsavers as head of CRM, bringing customer relationship experience at Coles, Officeworks and Kathmandu.

Two internal promotions see Samantha Ferreri head up trade planning and Anri McHugh become head of brand marketing, planning and PR.

Ferreri will be responsible for leading the trade planning function in national and local area marketing, including digital performance, across Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Specsavers two years ago Ferreri had worked with Target Australia, Signcraft, RMIT University, and Wesfarmers Kleenheat.

McHugh, previously senior marketing manager of brand planning, joined the optical chain in 2017 as national PR campaigns manager ANZ.

His previous roles included communications agencies Thrive PR and Communications, and The Hive Agency.

Last month the optical franchise chain announced the appointment of a sustainability chief. Cathy Rennie Matos will lead the business towards its 2050 net-zero carbon goal.
