Boutique fitness brand BFT has opened its 300th studio and its first in Spain. The Barcelona studio expands the brand’s presence to nine countries.
Founder Cam Falloon said “The brand is in a strong position with over 300 studios open and another 400 studios in development.
“Our growth focus is to go narrow and deep rather than wide and thin, so as much as we are expanding, it’s a controlled and strategic expansion plan. With this approach, we can truly support the growth across every region we are operating in to deliver the best BFT experience.”
Marc Sola, owner of BFT Eixample, said “We are proud to represent this incredible global fitness brand as the owners of the 300th BFT studio in Barcelona and to plant the flag for BFT in Spain.”
The global boutique fitness brand offers 50-minute group strength training classes.
The Australian-born BFT has a presence throughout APAC; in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.
BFT opened its first European studios in London in 2023, followed by a location in Glasgow.
New president to lead BFT in the US
Parent company Xponential Fitness has driven growth across the US and appointed Duncan Cork to lead the BFT expansion.
Cork’s extensive business-building experience includes F45 where he led the marketing, before taking on president and chief growth officer roles. He helped grow the F45 brand from two studios to more than 800.
Cork is now focused on building on BFT’s initial success in North America to establish it as a household name. He said the business represents the gold standard in its fitness niche.
“Body Fit Training is best-in-class when it comes to strength training and boutique fitness, and I am looking forward to ushering in the brand’s next phase of growth and evolution as president,” he said.
