Blooms The Chemist has appointed Yvette Costi as chief marketing officer.
Costi takes up the role vacated by Pamela Bishop who was earlier this year promoted to the newly created chief operating officer position.
In her new role Costi will help grow the Blooms brand, increase its visibility, and streamline marketing operations to benefit the pharmacy owners and store teams.
As part of this role, Costi will expand the marketing team and work closely to ensure strategic marketing initiatives are integrated across the business from the support office to the store level.
Blooms The Chemist’s CEO, Emmanuel Vavoulas, said “Yvette is an experienced senior executive who brings an extensive background in brand strategy, performance marketing, and digital transformation to the Blooms The Chemist team.
Future-proofing business
“Her experience across several global brands in diverse industries reflects a strategic move on Blooms The Chemist’s behalf to future-proof business growth and provide even greater value for our customers and pharmacies.
“With her progressive and people-centric approach, I am confident she will be a strong addition to our senior leadership group. I look forward to working with Yvette and the marketing and communications team as we continue to grow and deliver on our brand purpose of creating greater health equity and access for all.”
Blooms has been in business for more than 40 years and today has a network of more than 110 pharmacies operating across the country, except in Tasmania.
Costi said she is proud to be joining a brand that puts the health and wellbeing of its communities first.
“Blooms The Chemist has a clear vision on the role and future of community pharmacy, and I look forward
to working with our network of Pharmacists and store teams to further strengthen our support of
communities around Australia,” she said.
