First National Real Estate has appointed a new CEO, bringing an experience cooperative and franchising executive to the leadership role.
David Edwards has a track record of profitability and change management with companies including Myer, Mitre 10, Placemakers (New Zealand) and Forty Winks.
First National Real Estate chair, Rob Westwood, said Edwards has a reputation for working with independent and family-owned retail businesses to drive business growth.
“David is recognised for his people-first mindset, creating cultures and motivating talented people to coalesce into cohesive, highly effective teams,” he said.
Edwards takes up his CEO role on 8 April.
First National Real Estate has a strong footprint across Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu and New Caledonia and has ambitious plans for growth, Westwood said.
It currently has nearly 3,000 agents working in the brand’s 300+ residential, commercial, rural, lifestyle, and property management offices.
