Poolwerx has appointed Russ Reynolds as the new chairperson with the aim of supercharging its technology and innovation.

Reynolds is based in Duluth, Georgia, US. He brings to the role more than 30 years’ experience in leading retail and services brands across multiple franchise networks. He has worked with commercial cleaning franchise Jan Pro and in 2021 became the first CEO of Spotless Brands.

Previously he headed up Batteries Plus, building the footprint to over 600 stores and generating $600 million in system revenue.  Prior to that he was involved with automotive technology.

Poolwerx founder and executive director John O’Brien said “Russ’s impressive expertise in driving impactful change through continuous improvement will be an invaluable asset to Poolwerx as we continue to navigate a shifting business landscape with agile responses.

New chairperson to help drive change

Reynolds said it was Poolwerx’ adaptability and progressive forward-thinking that attracted him to the business.

“I’ve long admired Poolwerx’ ability to always be ahead of trends and set a new standard of excellence in franchising that’s respected across all industries. Sso I’m incredibly excited to join such an innovative company and help drive meaningful change,” he said.

In July 2022 Poolwerx partnered with leading global investment firm Norwest

Sonya Brown, Poolwerx board member and general partner at Norwest said Poolwerx achieved impressive business growth in the past year.

“Having demonstrated it can navigate through even the most turbulent market, we are even more optimistic about Poolwerx’ potential for rapid expansion in the US, Australia, and New Zealand,” she said.

Outgoing chairman Troy Hazard joined the business in 2015 as a non-executive director and shareholder when Poolwerx entered the US. He took on the chairman’s role in July 2019.
