The site of Australia’s first KFC restaurant is up for sale.
The Guildford, Western Sydney site housed the nation’s first Kentucky Fried Chicken store which opened in 1968. It was home to KFC and Pizza Hut until 2009 when it was developed it into a service centre.
Today the site is anchored by a 24-hour 7-Eleven service station and boasts an Oporto drive-through, The Cheesecake Shop, Piccolo Me Café, and a kebab shop.
RWC Western Sydney agent Joseph Assaf said “The site is strategically located in one of Western Sydney’s pivotal locations with more than 50,000 vehicles passing daily, with great connectivity to major arterial roads.”
