The Top 30 Franchise Executives 2022 have been revealed at an event in Melbourne.
Topping the list is RAMS CEO Jake Bromwich.
Bromwich has had a big impact in the RAMS business. In 2021 he set two clear strategic priorities for the business – growth and simplification – and delivered the results, including a 54 per cent uplift in sales, a boost to diversity in the network, and improved franchisee satisfaction.
In second spot this year on the much-coveted list is Arthur McColl, making an impressive second appearance in the top five.
McColl is CEO of Frontline Recruitment Group, and is joined by his colleagues Michelle Gamble, chief marketing officer, (who made the list at number 6) and Colin Ongley, general manager of sibling brand Express Employment Professionals, (who ranked at number 8). The pair made it on to the list for the first time, securing a hat-trick for the recruitment firm.
Other top 10 executives who were first timers to the list include Price Attack CEO John Pascoe (number 3), Rob Hale, general manager of Anytime Fitness Australia (number 5) and Tom Vo, people and culture manager, at Roll’d (number 7).
At number four, James Hucker from CouriersPlease, who has been listed before in the Top 30.
It was also a repeat appearance in the top 10 for Just Cuts CEO Amber Manning (number 10) and the highest rating for previous Top 30 lister KX Pilates CEO Selina Bridge (number 9).
The event, sponsored by Unity4, celebrates the outstanding contribution of high-performing franchisors who have provided inspiration, innovation and support for their franchisees.
Submissions are also judged on franchise citizenship and personal and professional development.
Judges are drawn from across the franchising space to provide an all-round perspective on the contributions made.
This year the judges were first Top 30 winner and Muffin Break GM Natalie Brennan; founder of Pack & Send, Paul Michael; ex-Subway executive and current Poolwerx global board member Tracy Steinwand; operations manager for TBH group, part of Snap Fitness, Matt Chapman; award-winning multi-unit Mister Minit franchisee Steve Whittard; BlueRock CEO, Bruce McFarlane; and Inside Franchise Business Executive editor, Sarah Stowe.
