Global business MBE Worldwide has acquired Pack & Send. The companies will maintain their individual names, business concepts and brands.

Both firms currently operate in the business services industry through a network of locations that serve primarily SMEs as well as consumers.

MBE is a third-party provider of shipping, fulfilment, print and marketing solutions. The group also comprises complementary brands Mail Boxes Etc., AlphaGraphics and PostNet and with Pack & Send’s 144 stores now has approximately 2,740 locations across 53 countries.

MBE has a record of fast-paced growth, achieved through both organic growth and acquisitions.

Shipping and logistics specialist Pack & Send was founded in 1993 by Michael Paul, and has developed established master licensees in two complementary territories, New Zealand and the UK.

It recently reported record breaking global system-wide sales of $42.09m for the six months to 31 December 2020.

Pack & Send will continue to operate as an independent company and will retain the current management team at its Moorebank head office

Michael Paul, founder and CEO, said “This is an exciting development for the Pack & Send franchise system. Combining forces with MBE Worldwide creates unique opportunities to synergise with colleagues similarly steeped in managing a franchisebased network of entrepreneurs.”

Paolo Fiorelli, chairman and CEO at MBE, said the two businesses are well-aligned.

“Pack & Send is an excellent strategic fit for MBE because of its entrepreneurdriven,  peoplecentric, customerfirst business model, which complements our MBE business and culture,” he said.

“We are excited to welcome Pack & Send to the MBE family and to work together to provide highvalue solutions to our business and consumer customers across the globe.”

Last year Pack & Send scooped up two high-ranking spots for key executives in the Top 30 Franchise Executives 2020 Report: COO Nicholas Woodward was ranked number two with learning and development manager Lissa Becker listed at number five.
