Snap Fitness has unveiled its 350th club at Kiama in New South Wales. The milestone opening also brought club memberships to more than 300,000 across the APAC region.
Chris Caldwell is CEO of Snap Fitness’ parent company Lift Brands Asia Pacific. He said the milestone showcased the brand’s “tremendous growth” over recent years.
“Last year we recorded 67 new franchise sales across Australia and New Zealand and experienced a record number of new franchise enquiries. We also opened 23 clubs – 17 in Australia and New Zealand and six in Asia,” Caldwell said.
“We are expecting momentum to continue in 2025 as we open more clubs and secure new territories, including our first entry into the Cairns market next month.”
Cairns’ is packed with potential, with strong population growth and housing corridor developments, he said. The inaugural site will kickstart expansion across the region.
Snap Fitness has a pipeline of new clubs set to open including 25 in Australia and New Zealand region and 11 across Asia.
The gym business is also focused on modernising existing clubs; it has plans to revamp 52 sites.
Snap Fitness also introduced in November 2024 a new monthly mystery shopper program. The new program is designed to ensure optimal operational performance and boost franchisee and team member training.
